Frequently Asked Questions

What is Glyph?

Glyph is a platform where brands and journalists find each other. Brands can search a directory of journalists by beat, publication, and geography, then pitch them directly through Glyph. Journalists can showcase their work and get relevant pitches without the usual cold-email noise. There's also a media query service that works a bit like HARO. Brands sign up to receive queries from journalists who need sources, and journalists can post what they're working on to find the right expert.

Is Glyph free?

Yes. You can browse the directory for free and reach out to journalists for free. We're in beta and still building out the network.

How do journalists get listed?

We add journalist profiles manually based on their published work, the beats they cover, and the outlets they write for. If you're a journalist and you're already listed, you can claim your profile anytime to update your bio, beats, and contact preferences.

Can I reach out to journalists directly?

Yes. When you send a pitch through Glyph, it goes straight to the journalist's inbox. They see your name, your company, and your story. If they're interested, they reply directly to your email.

Is my pitch shared publicly?

No. Your pitch goes only to the journalist you choose. Nobody else sees it. It's never posted or published anywhere.

How is Glyph different from Muck Rack or Cision?

Muck Rack and Cision are enterprise tools that run $5K to $10K a year and try to cover every beat on earth. Glyph is focused on AI, crypto, tech, and internet — the journalists you're actually trying to reach. And right now, it's free.

I'm a journalist. How do I claim my profile?

Go to your profile page on Glyph and click "Claim this profile." You'll verify your email and then you can edit your bio, beats, socials, and how brands can reach you. You can also just sign up and create a fresh profile.

I'm a journalist. Why should I claim my profile?

Brands are already finding you on Glyph and reading whatever we wrote about you. Claiming your profile means you get to control that. Update your bio, fix your beats, decide how you want to be reached. It's free and it stays free.
