Chris Mellor is the founder of Blocks & Files and the storage editor of its sister title The Register. He has reported and analyzed IT storage matters for 20 years, starting out in the industry coding for mainframes, then installing mini-computer software and enjoying using PDP-8 tapes and early removable DEC disk drives.
